Our Story

Rooted in the ancient coffee forests of Ethiopia, our story is one of heritage, tradition, and the love of a truly exceptional bean.

Ethiopian highlands

Yeshi Coffee is rooted in Ethiopia, the birthplace of Coffea arabica. For centuries, wild coffee trees have grown in Ethiopia’s highland forests, carrying the genetic diversity that sustains the world’s favorite bean. Local communities cultivated and cherished coffee long before it reached Yemen and spread across the globe.

In Ethiopia, coffee is more than a drink—it is a tradition of hospitality. The jebena ceremony, where beans are roasted, ground, and brewed over an open flame, is a daily ritual that brings families and neighbors together. Each cup carries not only rich flavor but also connection, respect, and blessing.

At Yeshi Coffee, we honor this heritage by sourcing single-origin beans directly from Ethiopia’s coffee-growing regions. Our roasts highlight the country’s extraordinary diversity—from bright floral notes to deep fruit undertones—while preserving the authenticity of its heirloom varieties.

When you share a cup of Yeshi Coffee, you are tasting more than coffee. You are part of a story that began in Ethiopia’s forests and continues today, one cup at a time.
